I met Nicoletta last year playing the piano in Sandy Bells my local pub which specialises in traditional music. Nicoletta is a very talented young Italian pianist and composer who is becoming internationally known. Here she plays her own composition, ‘Prelude’.
Hugh has been a music lover all his adult life. He has written for the Guardian, the Scotsman, the Herald and Opera Now. When he was an MEP, he was in charge of music policy along with Nana Mouskouri. For the last three years he was the principal classical music reviewer for The Wee Review.
